January, 16th 2020 | Osceola City Hall
The committee met as scheduled.
In attendance were:
- Gary Cooper | Chair
- Mayor Sally Wilson
- Tyler Dunegan
- Steve Choals
- Louis Baker
The primary focus of the meeting was open discussion of rewording or amending the current municipal ordinances that impose fines through the municipal court for improper curbside placement of household trash. The purpose of reworded or modifying the existing ordinance is to prevent (deter) residents from placing household garbage on the curbside on the wrong day/time. The proposed ordinance would also implement a pick-up fee charged by the city instead of the fine that is currently enforced/collected by the municipal court system.
The topics of drainage and preventive maintenance software were briefly discussed.
The potential actions and recommendations of this committee will be presented to the Osceola City Council for approval.
The committee is scheduled to meet again on Friday, January 24th at 3:00 pm @ Osceola City Hall
